Kaiser HS Band & Guard are going to Washington, D.C.

Kaiser High School Band & Color Guard have been invited to perform at the National Memorial Day Parade by Rep. Norma Torres. The students will be going to our nation’s capital to perform and will also tour many sites at the capital in a jam-packed extended Memorial Day weekend trip.

As you might have guessed, this trip is not free. Each student will have to pay or raise a little over $1,600 for the trip. We will have many fundraising opportunities, and we are accepting donations.

We have a GoFund me and we can accept direct donations through Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and PayPal. Make sure that you add a note saying what the donation is for, especially if you want to make it for a particular student.

For those participating in the trip

Due dates. These are firm due dates dictated by the travel agency. It is very possible that through donations and through the district, we might be able to get some of this reduced (most likely off of the final payment).

Due DateAmount
ASAP$300.00
December 1, 2023$330.25
January 20, 2023$330.25
March 20, 2023$660.50
Payment Schedule for Participants

Family is welcome to come watch the performance, but you will need to make your own arrangements for travel, lodging, and activities at the capital. It has been suggested that you should look to staying in a suburb where lodging should be quite a bit less expensive than in Washington, D.C. itself.

Football Game, September 1, 2023

Kaiser Band & Guard’s next performance will be at Kaiser High School’s home football game against Paloma Valley on September 1, 2023.

It will also be a fundraising opportunity as we will be operating the Home & Visitor snack bars. We ask that every parent try to help out in the snack bar for one football game each season so there isn’t a group of parents who have to do it every time and never get the opportunity to watch their kids perform.

Thank you for your support!

No school, no rehearsal Monday, August 21, 2023

ATTENTION

Per FUSD:

Good Evening Fontana Families,

“Due to severe weather conditions later this evening into tomorrow, Fontana Unified School District will be closing schools tomorrow, Monday, August 21, 2023. The district office will remain open and all maintenance and operations teams will come in to ensure sites are ready for students on Tuesday.

This decision was made for the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff. On behalf of our FUSD Board of Education, Superintendent Inbody, and Cabinet, we hope that our families and staff remain safe during this severe weather from Hurricane Hilary.”

TL;DR: No School tomorrow, August 21st. I will keep you all posted as soon as I receive information. Monday rehearsal is cancelled.

Stay safe!

Fontana Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 10, 2022

  • Call time is 7am.
  • Parade starts at 10am
  • Should be back at Kaiser around 12:30pm (plus or minus half an hour).

Get more information about the parade.

Parade starts at Arrow & Sierra, goes south on Sierra to Orange, turns left to go east on Orange to Mango, turns left to go north on Mango to Arrow, turns left to go west on Arrow to return to the start point.

In other words, it’s a counter-clockwise loop going down Sierra to Orange to Mango to Arrow back to Sierra.

Come out and watch the parade. It’s a fun time and a chance to see your kids marching in a more relaxed environment.
