Band camp starts Monday!

Don’t forget, mandatory band and color guard camp starts this Monday at 7:30am. Please make sure you’re there at least five minutes early so you can be ready to get started at 7:30. Camp will go until 4:30pm on Monday & Tuesday. Bring water (only water is allowed on the football field) and sunscreen. Eat a substantial breakfast (not just a donut) and get a good night’s sleep! Make sure you bring a healthy lunch with ample protein. It will be hard work, but it will be worth it. Be great!

From Mr. Allmond:

ATTENTION ALL BAND AND GUARD STUDENTS!! BAND CAMP IS MAN-DA-TO-RY!! Uniforms are at a premium this year and they will go first to all band campers. Due to an increase in personnel this year putting everyone in a uniform will be a challenge until we get the additional ones in November. THIS YEAR ONLY THOSE STUDENTS WHO COME TO BAND CAMP WILL GET A UNIFORM! Very exciting year coming up culminating in our landmark performance in the Tournament of Roses opening ceremonies. What an honor! I look forward to seeing all of you at camp!!

Band members — fitting Friday, 6/29

ATTENTION ALL BAND MEMBERS! Please come to the band room tomorrow Friday June 29th between the hours of 7:30am – 12:30pm to be measured for uniforms! This is for all band members! Very important! See you then.

Color Guard Parent Meeting 6/29

We will be having a mandatory meeting for Color Guard parents on Friday, June 29 at 6pm in the Band Room at Kaiser. It is very important to attend as we will be discussing the upcoming schedule as well as the tier schedule and uniform costs.

An $80 deposit will be required by the time of the meeting for the field uniform. We do not yet know the full price of the uniforms, but we have to put a deposit down to get the order started.

Band Facebook Group

If you’re a parent or student in the Kaiser High School Band or Color Guard, please sign up for the Kaiser HS Band Facebook Group. A lot of announcements occur there.

Here is a link for the page. When you request to get on the page, make sure you state who you are (which student you’re a parent of or that you’re a student):

Tournament of Roses Parade

The Kaiser Catamount Pride Band & Color Guard will be performing in the opening ceremonies at the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade! After the opening ceremonies, they will be leading off the parade down Colorado Blvd. This is a very exciting and long desired opportunity for the band and guard. We look forward to representing our school, district, and city in the most prestigious parade in the world.

Principal’s Concert

The Principal’s Concert will be on Tuesday, May 8th at 6pm in the MPR (cafeteria) at Kaiser. This is the last concert of the year; the last concert with the graduating seniors. It will be a memorable experience. There will be a $5 entry fee per person for the concert.

Fundraiser Money is DUE

Also, the money for the beef jerky and the chocolates are due by May 15th. Between these two items, there is almost $8,000 outstanding. This money needs to be paid through the ASB. These outstanding balances are treated just like balances for books that are not returned; they MUST be paid. If you are not sure if your child owes money, you can contact the ASB cashier to find out if they have an outstanding balance. I know that students can “forget” to tell parents until they are forced to by not being able to graduate, go to a dance, or get a transcript. Our ability to get buses for competitions next year could be affected if this money is not paid as it is the money we use to pay for the buses. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
